Sandals World Co., Ltd. was founded in 2021 by Mr. Thongrop Boonpatsong.
Initially, the business started as a small fashion shoe store that operated on a buy-and-sell model in 2016.
- In 2017, the business developed its own brand by contracting a factory to produce fashion shoe designs for sale (OEM).
- In 2018–19, the focus shifted to the sandal category, and the business began producing sandals independently by importing soles from overseas to manufacture products for sale.
- In 2019–20, a school for sandal-making was established, and several student brands were launched into the market. This led to the formation of a handmade sandal manufacturers’ association under the ‘Sandals World’ group, adhering to a unified standard.
- In 2021, Sandals World Co., Ltd. was officially registered, designing and patenting its own sandal soles. The company began producing sandal soles domestically and allowed affiliated brands to use these soles in designing various collections for products sold both domestically and internationally. This development created the largest team of handmade sandal producers in Thailand, specializing in ART & CRAFT SANDALS with the most diverse product range in the country.
